ईश्वर और सैनिक
सभी के पूजनीय
विपत्ति के समय
और फिर नहीं ;
कि जब युद्ध निपट चुका है 
और सब कुछ सही है
देवता उपेक्षित हैं
बूढ़े सैनिक महत्वहीन ।

God and the soldier
All men adore
In time of trouble,
And no more;
For when war is over
And all things righted,
God is neglected -
